1, Molecular Biologist:

The successful candidate will be involved in developing methods in gene synthesis, protein expression and purification. Qualified candidates should possess the following background and skills:

• BS or MS in molecular biology,  biochemistry,  cell biology or related field 
• Experience in one or more of these relevant areas: 
 o Routine molecular biology techniques such as cloning, sub-cloning, restriction digestion, bacteria culture,
   transformation,   mini-prep, electrophoresis, PCR, gene synthesis
 o Protein biochemistry including protein purification, peptide synthesis, sequencing, and structural 
   analysis, amino acid  modification, etc. 
 o Assay development such as immunoassays (ELISA), sample preparation methodology etc. 
 o Analytical techniques including various methods of chromatography, HPLC, FPLC etc. 
• Strong technical and organizational skills with an adeptness at achieving accurate and consistent results 
• Goal-oriented with a high degree of self-motivation and excellent productivity 
• Competence in written and oral communication and in the use of computer software such as Word and Excel

2, Java/J2EE developer/Software Engineer/Business Analyst

• Must be able to work as part of a collaborative development team to design and 
  develop database driven web solutions 
• 5+ years of experience full lifecycle web-specific application development. 
• 3+ years in Oracle (preferably 10g) 
• 3+ years of user interface, presentation layer, and backend development experience 
    with Java, J2EE, JSP, JavaScript, and HTML. 
• Detailed knowledge and experience with serverside frameworks, application servers, 
  and web 
• Basic knowledge of Unix and SQL commands. Understanding of browser capabilities 
  and design constraints on the web 
• Experience with Websphere Application Developer and Portal or similar IDE. 
• Object oriented principles and concepts. 
• Demonstrated experience in problem-solving, performance tuning and optimization, 
  and innovative design solutions  
• Development and execution of integrated system test plans and scenarios; 
  participation in customer acceptance testing 
• Business analysis skill/experience is a plus


3, Senior Oracle/SQL Server Database Administrator

The DBA will be a member of a larger team consisting of UNIX and Windows system administrators, network engineers, storage administrators, and application engineers working collectively to design, configure, maintain, and enhance an information systems infrastructure. He/She will be responsible for determining and analyzing the customer's requirements and working with the team to develop and implement solutions to meet these requirements. The DBA will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting customer's database environment. Daily DBA tasks includes software installation, database setup and tuning, data refreshes, and backups. Incumbent is expected to have a solid understanding and working knowledge in all areas of Oracle (9i and 10g) and SQL Server (2000 and 2005). The computer network consists of a heterogeneous mix of computing hardware and software platforms, including servers and workstations, and COTS and custom software applications. The UNIX operating system environments are Sun Solaris and Redhat Linux. The Windows operating system is Windows 2003. Interfacing with users, management, customers, other IS Engineers, and Configuration Management personnel is critical to success.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree, or equivalent experience; 7 + years related experience. 

• Must possess advanced and thorough understanding of Oracle and SQL Server database systems 
  including clustering technologies (Oracle RAC and SQL Server Clustering).

• Must also possess demonstrated relational database design/development and structured programming experience.

Experience with data warehousing concepts a plus.

Position Accountabilities:

1) Responsible for all activities related to the design, development, and administration of customer's databases. Tasks include database performance and tuning, patching, providing high availability of database resources, creation of new databases, and capacity planning for database applications. Ensure timely, recoverable backups.

2) Plans, schedules, and oversees development of new, or maintenance of existing database systems.

3) Provides user and system support for the most complex databases.

4) Coordinates integration of Internet-based database components with other environments.

5) Projects long-range requirements for database usage and works with management to define key project and initiative areas. Heavily involved in the overall database development/environment strategy.

6) Sets database design standards and expectations; oversees database design activity, and recommends to management database policies and related guidelines and standards.

7) Heavily involved in Disaster Recovery of databases. Leads documentation efforts. Maintains and ensures documentation remains updated.

8) Assists with mentoring less senior staff and provides guidance to their technical growth.


4, Senior Database Developer


Requirements

The ideal candidate must have a BS/BA degree, Computer Science preferred, and experience working on large projects.

The candidate should have 6 - 9 years of experience with at least 6 years of hands-on PERL, PL/SQL and Java programming experience.

Successful candidate must have experience with Oracle database development using Perl, PL/SQL and Java. Candidates should also possess strong written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills. Experience with government clients is a plus.
